Day 13 of the Qatar World Cup 2022 kicked off with Portugal facing South Korea, who defied all odds to make it to the round of 16. It was an interesting day for the South Koreans as they put all their effort into ensuring they grabbed a win from sloppy Portugal. Despite their win against Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates have already made it to the knockout stages.
Ghana and Uruguay were trying to recreate history, but the Black Stars fell out after Uruguay won them by two goals. However, despite the trashing Ghana received, Uruguay didn’t make it to the knockout round after South Korea beat Portugal. This will be the last world cup for Luis Suarez, who was in tears after his country was eliminated from the competition.
Despite taking the lead in the 36th minute, Serbia failed to win the game against Switzerland as they came crashing out of the Qatar World Cup 2022. Goals from Mitrović and Vlahovic weren’t enough to keep them alive in the game.
On the other hand, Cameroon was very impressive against Brazil, who allowed the African team to cruise past them in the stoppage time. With the absence of Neymar and other starters of the Brazilian team, Anthony, Rodrygo, and Gabriel Jesus failed to convert any chances that we created for them. Despite the loss, they will be topping their group table, with Cameroon being eliminated from the competition.
